Bought the Slant / Fin GF-240 in January 2010 that Amazon sold by J & R Music. I bought this to replace a humidifier Honeywell HCM-300T (also UV-humidifiers), which have produced disappointing because the fan motor was obnoxiously strong after a year or so of operation and the airflow was against the party bottom of the unit, your soil is moist, not enough moisture in the air during the broadcast. Finally, I had to put the HCM-300T in the trash, because the engine seized completely- Honeywell has been conceived, not end-user-serviceable.
The GF-240 unit itself is small enough so that it fits into a small space like the corner of a room or under a desk is a fan on top of a more efficient supply of moist air. Turn the fan grill on top, to change the direction of airflow so that the device can be placed against a wall. The water tank is very large, very easy to fill and replace the law is the basic uniteffortlessly.

I was impressed by the bulb, since it is almost full, In other words, the light bulbeffectively destroy bacteria and other organisms in tap water and well water. Attention to other UV-humidifier (for example, Honeywell HCM-300T), such as UV lamps are small and not just effective. The wicking filter (included with the GF-240) take mineral water that the white "dust" to prevent a common problem with ultrasonic humidifiers and spray the water directly into the air.
WITH the only problem is that the fan is strong enough about the high value of thiswas acceptable in my case, since it does not use the device in the bedroom (during the day) was given, I LO fan at night. A LO is not even the GF-240 is running, but still moist to distribute effectively setting LO. If you want the humidifier in a large room all night and worked the HI setting, you can find a quieter unit, or an ultrasonic humidifier.
Overall, the tilt / Fin GF-240 humidifier with more well-designedFeatures (UV disinfection, a larger tank farm, and auto-off when desired humidity is reached) and a better quality of everything that can be purchased in a store.
